This system is deeply integrated into the daily life of the Alpine people: supplying power to the dairy farm in the early morning, supporting the central kitchen of the hotel at noon, and maintaining the thermostatic circulation of the hot spring water late at night. Synchronized to meet the charging needs of electric shuttle buses in the scenic area, and when a blizzard hits, it can also be transformed into an “energy ark” to guard the life support system of the hospital.

03The Ecological Awakening Behind the Numbers

          After the system was put into operation, the proportion of renewable energy in the town increased to 75%, the proportion of clean energy soared 33%, the annual carbon reduction was 1,200 tons, which was equivalent to the carbon sequestration of a 50-hectare spruce forest for 10 years or the absorption of carbon sinks in a 50-hectare forest, and the reliability of regional power supply was increased to 99.98%. These data show that the project has achieved remarkable results in optimizing the energy structure, reducing carbon emissions and improving the stability of power supply, providing a quantifiable successful example for the global energy transition.

         Ecological dividends catalyze economic transformation. With the popularization of green energy and the continuous optimization of the ecological environment, in the first quarter of this year, the annual number of tourists received at the scenic spot increased by 35% year-on-year, and the number of room bookings surged by 18%, making it a new landmark of Alpine tourism. What is more noteworthy is that the modular design of the program makes the transportation and installation costs straight down by 40%, providing replicable Chinese solutions for global alpine regions.

         In the evening, when the blue light of the energy storage container and the glacier twilight reflected, the three peaks of Lofthouse witnessed not only the energy change. This alpine “laboratory” is proving that the symbiosis between technology and nature is the ultimate code for sustainable development.
